Alex Piper is a veteran media executive who has spent his career at the intersection of creator culture, sports, and premium entertainment. He currently serves as Executive Producer, Sports & Creator Content at YouTube, where he develops and oversees live events, original programming, creator collaborations, and sports-driven storytelling that reach global audiences.
Before returning to YouTube, Alex led Original Content at NBA Take-Two as Executive Vice President, guiding the league’s strategy for long-form series and new premium content initiatives in both scripted and unscripted.
He previously served as Head of Night Studios, the production arm of Night (formerly Night Media), where he helped creators expand into larger, cross-platform formats. Earlier in his career, Alex was the Global Head of Unscripted for YouTube Originals, partnering with top creators and producers to launch series and live specials across genres.
Alex also brings a strong broadcast background from his years at FOX Entertainment, where he worked on some of the network’s biggest unscripted and live event franchises.
