Mike Stiller is the Head of East Coast Development for The History Channel, where he co-leads development for the network. During his twenty-year career at History, Stiller has developed some of the most popular franchises in nonfiction entertainment, including worldwide hits The Curse of Oak Island, Ancient Aliens, Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo, The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd, The Proof is Out There, the original MonsterQuest, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy and more.
Stiller has also been behind a slate of documentaries and podcasts, including the Peabody Award-winning Blindspot: The Plague in the Shadows (WNYC Studios and The History Channel), Colosseum, WWII in HD, Vietnam in HD, the Emmy-nominated Third Reich: Rise and Fall, and Roots: A New Vision, winner of the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Documentary.
Previously, Stiller oversaw development for the H2 channel. He was behind the series Brad Meltzer’s Lost History which made headlines when it located and returned the lost Ground Zero Flag of 9/11. Prior to History, he was a writer for MTV and Nickelodeon, and produced video games, including Men in Black: The Game. He is a graduate of Penn State University.
