Nicole Dorrler currently serves as a leader for Marketing and Media Investment for Potential Energy Coalition where she is driving critical mission driven strategies tackling topics like clean energy and climate disasters. Prior to Potential Energy, Nicole served as the Deputy Chief Marketing Officer at Truth Initiative where she led a 20-person team producing the award-winning, lifesaving, truth anti-smoking, vaping, and opioid campaign. Her 16-year tenure allowed her to lead numerous world-class agencies to push the boundaries of public health. She’s spent more than a decade developing and implementing creative, strategy, media, production, interactive, social, experiential, analytics, advocacy, data, marketing research, partnerships, and influencer marketing for the award-winning truth campaign. Nicole’s leadership has been recognized for its creativity, unique approach and results. She was the American Marketing Association’s 2016 Nonprofit Marketer of the Year and the recipient of the 2018 Chief Marketer Future CMO award. Under her leadership the campaign won more than 400 awards, including Lions, Clios, Emmys, Ogilvys, Shortys, and Effies. In June of 2016, truth was even given the title of most effective brand in the North American Effie Index, a three-way tie for first place with CVS Health and Walmart. truth was also named “Campaign of the Decade” (for 2000-2010) by the readers of AdWeek. Nicole has more than 25 years of high-level marketing experience for brands including Volkswagen of America, Choice Hotels International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Redskins, and Bell Atlantic Mobile, which became Verizon.
