Irune Ariztoy is the Vice President of Unscripted Development at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, overseeing the creation and development of unscripted intellectual properties that align with the network’s strategic vision. With nearly 30 years of experience in media and entertainment, she drives idea generation, concept pitching, and project refinement, working collaboratively with internal teams and leadership to deliver impactful content. Most recently, Ariztoy served as Executive Producer for the highly anticipated scripted series 90 Minutes, debuting soon on Peacock. She reports directly to Ronald Day, President of Entertainment and Chief Content Officer.

Ariztoy’s career includes distinguished roles such as Director of Development for Discovery Channel Latin America, Home & Health, and Discovery en Español, where she spent 11 years. She also has extensive experience working with renowned networks such as Infinito, HBO Latin America, Universo and the international radio broadcaster BBC World Service, further solidifying her expertise in content development and production across diverse markets.

Among her many accolades, Ariztoy was the supervising producer for Trata De Mujeres: De Tenancingo a New York (Sex Trafficking: From Tenancingo to New York), which won a U.S. News and Documentary Emmy in 2014 for Outstanding Investigative Journalism in Spanish. She was also the executive producer for El Vato Season 2, which won the 2018 International Emmy Award for Outstanding Non-English Language U.S. Primetime Program.

Ariztoy received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, specializing in audiovisual studies, from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas.
