Speaker Matt Newman
Matt Newman is head of original sports content for Prime Video. In this role, Newman oversees all aspects of development for a growing slate of scripted and unscripted sports-themed content across film and television, including Emmy-nominated titles Kelce and Coach Prime, as well as critically-acclaimed documentary films Federer: Twelve Final Days and Bye Bye Barry.
Throughout his 10-year career at Amazon, Newman has held various roles in media, entertainment, and consumer, previously serving as the co-Head of Movies for Amazon Studios, where he oversaw the acquisition of hit films, including Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Coming 2 America, Cinderella, and Hotel Transylvania 4.
Prior to joining Amazon, Newman worked at Steamboat Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Walt Disney Company, where he invested in early- and mid-stage startup companies.
Newman holds a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
