Rob Sharenow currently serves as President of Programming for A+E Global Media, overseeing all creative development and production for their brands, including A&E,HISTORY, Lifetime, and Home.Made.Nation. Prior roles include General Manager of A&E and Lifetime, serving as Head of Programming of those brands. Under his creative leadership, his teams have won many Primetime and News & Documentary Emmy Awards, Peabody Awards, and received an Academy Award and several Oscar nominations. His teams have developed industry leading series in nearly every genre, including Emmy-winners, Intervention and Born This Way, unscripted hits such as The First 48, Curse of Oak Island, Duck Dynasty, and Dance Moms, top-rated TV movies, Steel Magnolias (Queen Latifah) and Flowers in the Attic (Heather Graham & Ellen Burstyn), documentary events such as Janet (22 million total viewers), Peabody-Award-winning Surviving R. Kelly, Kevin Costner’s The West, and the up-coming World War II with Tom Hanks, as well as drama series, YOU (EP Greg Berlanti), Devious
Maids (EPs Mark Cherry & Eva Longoria), and Peabody Award-winning, UnReal (EPs Marti Noxon & Sarah Shapiro). As a writer/producer, his television credits include the History Channel series, This Week in History, Michael Moore’s Emmy-award-winning magazine show, TV Nation, and the PBS gameshow, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego. He is the author of three novels all published by Harper Collins.
