Speaker Shaan Akbar
Shaan Akbar is the Head of Content Development for Samsung TV Plus across the platform, including live & events, creator formats, unscripted & scripted content, animation, branded entertainment, and next-generation interactive experiences. A 17+ year media executive, Shaan began his career at Discovery Communications in 2007 and worked across Discovery Inc. and Warner Bros. Discovery, holding roles in marketing, production, and content development across multiple networks within the portfolio, including co-launching and co-founding Velocity and MotorTrend. He also founded AV Labs, advising creators, brands, and distributors on FAST/AVOD strategy, branded entertainment, and multiplatform growth, and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
