As Senior Vice President of Production for Smithsonian Channel, Charles Poe guides the editorial process for programming that combines the entertainment DNA of parent company Showtime with the credibility and boundless assets of the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum and research complex. He has shaped successful tentpole specials such as 9/11: Day That Changed the World and Titanoboa: Monster Snake, as well as on-going original series, including America in Color and Aerial America. His work has been recognized with multiple industry awards, including a George Foster Peabody award for MLK: The Assassination Tapes.
