A multiple Emmy nominee for her work on VICELAND, Nomi Ernst Leidner, who’s been with VICELAND since the channel’s launch as both an executive producer and development executive.
Ernst Leidner was named SVP, Development in June 2016. In her current role, she helps steer unscripted development for VICELAND, working with the internal development team as well as with outside talent and producers to create new and exciting programs for VICELAND’S growing young audience.
In her previous post as Executive Producer, Ernst Leidner oversaw the production and launch of VICELAND’s States of Undress, and the network’s first Emmy nominated programming -- Gaycation with Ellen Page, and Woman with Gloria Steinem. She’s also developed and executive produced the docu-series Jungletown and The Last Shot as well as the upcoming comedy from RuPaul’s Drag Race hilarious breakouts – The Trixie and Katya Show and the TV adaptation of rapper 2 Chainz’s digital series, Most Expensivest.
Before coming to VICELAND, Ernst Leidner was the VP of Development for MTV’s news and documentary division, where she launched the successful series, Catfish: The TV Show, among other signature programs for that network. She began her television career as a producer for CBS's 48 Hours with Dan Rather.
A native New Yorker and graduate of Vassar College, Ernst Leidner lives in New York City with her husband and children.
