Richard Au is the Director of Amazon Channels in the US, serving as the general manager of the Amazon Channels business. Amazon Channels, launched in 2015, is an OTT platform that provides Amazon Prime members with access to video channels, including CBS All Access, HBO, Showtime and Starz, without a cable subscription on the Amazon Prime Video platform. Richard previously led the worldwide business development team for Kindle supporting devices and the Kindle reading app and was on the corporate strategic business development team focused on digital media. Prior to Amazon, Richard led business development and corporate development at Creative Labs and was a corporate securities attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, focused on venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs. Richard received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
