Based in Los Angeles, Merritt spearheads the creation, development and sales of non-scripted series and content as she leads the development team in business growth. Madison has sold shows to Amazon, D+, Peacock, Facebook, Lifetime, VH1, TLC, and HGTV among others. Prior to joining eOne, Merritt was the Founder of Mad Ave Entertainment, a company she created to develop television, branded entertainment and digital content. Under her leadership, Mad Ave Entertainment expanded the successful HGTV franchise, Flip or Flop, to Nashville, TN, along with the development of shows across the unscripted landscape.
Prior to Mad Ave Entertainment, Merritt was Senior Vice President of Series and Development at Ish Entertainment, where she oversaw the West Coast development. While at Ish she developed and shepherded a number of projects including All About Aubrey (Oxygen), Fix My Family (WeTV), Girlfriend Confidential: LA (Oxygen), Empire Girls (Style), T.I.’s Road to Redemption (MTV) and 50 Cent: The Money and the Power (MTV). Simultaneously, Merritt headed up the creation and sale of the Google YouTube Channel, Uno Dos Tres, a Hispanic digital channel targeted at second- and third-generation Latinos. Merritt began her career in New York working for VH1, CMT and Logo in Acquisitions and Co-Productions.
