Christy Spitzer is the Vice President of Alternative Programming at Pivot. Previously, she was VP of Series Development at MTV. Her series highlights include Human Resources, Welcome to Fairfax, Freestyle Love Supreme, Washington Heights, Savage U, the Emmy-nominated It Gets Better specials, and Laguna Beach. In her time as a freelance showrunner, Christy worked for Crossroads Films and TV and Lion Television. Christy worked at Columbia Pictures working on numerous promotional platforms including Oscar campaigns for Something's Gotta Give and Big Fish. She began her entertainment career working in commercial and music video production and was then a creative consultant on The Katie Brown Show, and working with Broadway Video for the Style Network. Christy also has an extensive background in developing and converting content for online with over four years experience in print and online media for both Hearst Magazines and Condé Nast.
